How did the Black Death end?

The Black Death was a disease that lasted a very long time. It took an even longer time to get rid of it. Pope Clement VI left his court for an estate called Chateau-neuf when he received the plague. It’s said that he sat by a fireplace praying that the fire and smoke would drive away the disease. The strategy must have worked because he survived it. Later on, the plague eventually died out. However, it did reappear periodically over the next three centuries. As the years passed, sanitary conditions got better and helped to decrease the bacteria causing the plague. Medication was also created to help. Although the vaccines helped, they were not always affective. Once the Black Death hit the Middle East it started to taper off. The Black Death is still around today but it is not as severe as it was in the Middle Ages.
