What happened to the people affected by the Black Death?

A nursery rhyme has been altered to explain the effects of the Black Death.
“Ring-a-ring of roses, A pocketful of posies, Attisho, Attisho, We all fall down.”
The first part referred to the red circular blotches that were found on the skin. The second part refers to the plague being spread by a cloud of colorless, poisonous gas. The final part is a reference to the final symptom of sneezing and then death. Although this was not a direct effect, some people thought that the Black Death was a punishment from God so they showed him that they could punish themselves. Because of this, many people died from self-inflicted wounds. Some people blamed the Jews and many were murdered for this. There were many symptoms from the plague. Swellings called buboes typically appeared in the legs, neck, armpits, or groin. When the plague was called septicemic, it was when the bacteria infected the bloodstream. Another plague called the pneumonic plague occurs when the bacteria infected the lungs. Some common symptoms for any type of plague included a high fever, rapid pulse, and body aches. Body aches would especially take place on the head, back, hands and feet.
